Trotz confirms Glencross will play in Game 7 for Capitals

Timothy T. Ludwig / USA Today

Curtis Glencross will get an opportunity to shine in a crucial Game 7 for the Washington Capitals.

The forward, who's been a healthy scratch in three straight games, will slot into Monday's lineup against the New York Islanders, head coach Barry Trotz confirmed to reporters.

Glencross came to the Capitals from the Calgary Flames at the trade deadline for a second- and third-round pick in 2015.

He's recorded four goals and three assists in 18 games since the trade and has been held scoreless in the playoffs so far.
