Mikkel Boedker is working hard to rebound from a season shortened by injury, and may soon have a nice new contract from the Arizona Coyotes in tow.

The forward is set to become a restricted free agent, and general manager Don Maloney indicated the two sides are working towards working out an appropriate extension.

"I've been in discussions with his agent, and we'll continue to arm wrestle to try to get something done," Maloney said Wednesday

Boedker recorded 14 goals and 14 assists in 45 games prior to suffering a spleen injury back in January.

His previous two-year, $5.1-million deal will expire at season's end.
