Pavelec will be in the crease for Thursday's Game 1 against the Ducks, Tim Campbell of the Winnipeg Free Press reports.

Analysis:

Pavelec looked to be on the outs as the Jets' primary netminder after Michael Hutchinson rolled to a 14-4-2 record, 1.90 GAA, and .935 save percentage prior to the All-Star break, but appears to have found a second life. Hutchinson's subsequent second-half collapse opened the door for Pavelec to earn more starts, and the veteran goalie has since delivered some of the best performances of his career to secure the No. 1 job heading into the postseason. Aside from maybe the Senators' Andrew Hammond, no goalie enters the postseason hotter than Pavelec, who posted a 9-2-1 mark and .949 save percentage in his last 12 outings, including shutouts in the final three starts.
