Philadelphia Flyers forward Vincent Lecavalier suffered an upper-body injury in his team's 3-1 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday.
The team announced the news following the game, and although there's no word yet, Lecavalier likely suffered the injury fighting the Hurricanes' Keegan Lowe.
The two dropped the gloves on two separate occasions in what was Lowe's first career game.
The team will know more Friday. Lecavalier has eight goals and 20 points in 57 games.
