Analysis:

Though Sheahan will miss his first game of the season Saturday against the Lightning, it doesn't appear that the center will be unavailable for very long. General manager Ken Holland said before Saturday's game that Sheahan has reported improvement with his condition and is being viewed as day-to-day. It's possible that he might suit up for Sunday's game, though it's probably more likely that the team will give him some additional time off to recover.
