The Boston Bruins have locked up two members of their young core.

The Bruins signed forward Reilly Smith to a two-year contract extension with an annual cap hit of $3,425,000. The club also inked defenseman Torey Krug to a one-year extension worth $3.4 million.

Smith has 12 goals and 23 assists in 63 games. The winger has spent most of the season on the club's top line with Brad Marchand and Patrice Bergeron.

Krug has 31 points in 59 contests.

The pair of 23-year-olds were restricted free agents before signing identical one-year deals last September.
