Quincey (ankle) has received clearance to play and is expected to return to the Red Wings' lineup Wednesday against the Rangers, Helene St. James of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Analysis:

Quincey had been forced out of the previous five games with bone chips in his ankle. It's already been confirmed that Quincey will need surgery at some point to address the issue, but for the time being, he plans on playing through the injury and delaying any procedure until the offseason. It will surely require some pain tolerance on the part of the blueliner, who has posted three goals and 10 assists over 52 games.
