Winnipeg Jets acquire Jiri Tlusty

WINNIPEG, Manitoba (AP) The Winnipeg Jets acquired winger Jiri Tlusty from the Carolina Hurricanes on Wednesday in exchange for two draft picks.

The Jets gave up a third-round pick in 2016 and a conditional sixth-rounder in 2015 in the deal.

Tlusty, who has 13 goals and 10 assists this season, gives the Jets some depth they were lacking due to a number of injuries.

The Jets also announced they've put forward Blake Wheeler on injured reserve.
