After Washington Capitals defenseman Matt Niskanen hit Philadelphia Flyers forward Sean Couturier knee-on-knee late in the first period of Sunday's game, you knew the physicality would escalate.
Sure enough, it did, as Capitals forward Jason Chimera leveled Flyers pest Zac Rinaldo with an uppercut to the jaw in the second period.
Both players were given five-minute major penalties for fighting, and Chimera was also assessed a two-minute minor for roughing.
