Carle suffered the injury Thursday against Edmonton, and he sat out Sunday's win over the Avalanche. The defenseman will undergo surgery Tuesday and should be expected back by mid-to-late March. The 30-year-old has amassed 14 points (10 assists, four goals) this season while averaging 20:35 on the ice.
