Michael Cammalleri: (Lower Body) Likely To Sit Wednesday

Cammalleri (lower body) wasn't present at the Devils' morning skate and doesn't look like he'll play Wednesday against the Senators, Tom Gulitti of The Record reports.

Analysis:

If that's indeed the case, it will be the second straight game that Cammalleri has missed, and his 10th overall on the season. Despite the extensive time missed, Cammalleri still ranks as the Devils' leading goal scorer by a rather sizable margin, which is probably more of an indictment of the team's lack of offensive talent. Fortunately, the return of Patrik Elias (groin) to the lineup Wednesday will help provide some cushion for Cammalleri's absence.
