Panthers reassign Shane O'Brien to San Antonio

The Florida Panthers have reassigned defenseman Shane O'Brien to the San Antonio Rampage of the AHL, according to a report from TVA's Renaud Lavoie.

O'Brien, 31, signed a one-year, two-way deal with the Panthers after playing his way into a contract at training camp.

The veteran defender has appeared in 528 NHL games in his career. Though he's yet to appear in a single NHL game this season, O'Brien has lit up the AHL to the tune of five goals and 13 points in 19 games with the Rampage.
