Analysis:

With Ben Bishop (lower body) not expected back until at least Saturday, the Bolts will have openings to fill in their next two games. Evgeni Nabokov played the final 40 minutes of Monday's loss to the Penguins after Bishop went down to the injury, but considering that he's 39 years old, coach Jon Cooper would probably prefer not to go with the aging netminder two nights in a row. That could pave the way for Vasilevskiy to make his first career start Tuesday, though Cooper is officially calling it a game-decision. The 20-year-old had an 8-3-3 record, 2.34 GAA and .918 save percentage across his 14 outings with AHL Syracuse.
