Flyers place Jason Akeson on waivers

The Philadelphia Flyers placed forward Jason Akeson on waivers Thursday, according to various reports.
Akeson has featured in a career-high 12 games for the Flyers this season, failing to register a point.
He scored 24 goals and 64 points in 70 games with Philadelphia's affiliate in Adirondack last season, earning him a two-way deal with the Flyers this past summer.
