Alex Ovechkin: (Upper Body) Will Play Wednesday

Ovechkin (upper body) confirmed after the Capitals' morning skate that he is "good to go" for Wednesday's game against the Islanders.

Analysis:

Ovechkin had been forced out of Tuesday's practice early with what was labeled as an "upper-body tweak," but the Capitals cleared him for a return after he participated fully at morning skate. The winger doesn't seem at risk of seeing a reduction in ice time Wednesday, so he can probably safely be viewed as a high-end fantasy commodity like usual.
