Pat Quinn meant a lot to those he encountered in his time as an NHL player and coach.

His contributions to the Vancouver Canucks, Toronto Maple Leafs, Philadelphia Flyers, Los Angeles Kings and Edmonton Oilers are hard to put into words, so the Canucks didn't.

Their tribute to the late Quinn featured music inspired by the Irish heritage he loved to remind people of, words of wisdom and short thank yous.

Well done.

The Canucks also had anthem singer Mark Donnelly sing a traditional Irish song, Danny Boy, in a pregame ceremony Tuesday night.
