Torey Krug: (Broken Finger) Out 2-3 Weeks

Krug has been ruled out for two-to-three weeks with a broken pinkie finger, Joe Haggerty of CSNNE.com reports. He's been placed on injured reserve.

Analysis:

Krug was able to remain in the contest after taking a slash to the finger in Tuesday's loss to the Wild, but upon being evaluated after the contest, the team determined the blueliner would require some extended rest. It's yet another blow to a Bruins defense that had been struggling even before top blueliner Zdeno Chara tore a knee ligament last week. With both Chara and Krug down for multiple weeks, the inexperienced trio of Zach Trotman, David Warsofsky and Joe Morrow will face the onerous task of trying to replace their production on both ends of the ice.
