Analysis:

Fasth will remain on injured reserve until the Oilers are convinced he's fully healthy, but it sounds like there's a legitimate chance that he activated by the end of the week. The Oilers placed Fasth on IR less than two weeks ago, a relatively minimal stretch of time that probably won't require the goalie to head out on a lengthy rehab assignment in the minors.
