In an effort to spark more offense, Kessel will work on a line with Joffrey Lupul when the Leafs take on the Sabres on Tuesday night, The Buffalo News reports. Said coach Randy Carlyle, "They're offense and we'd like to stimulate some offense. You're doing it because you believe what's going on can't stay the same. You just can't continue to accept some of the things that are going on from an offensive standpoint."

Analysis:

While Lupul and Nazim Kadri can be inconsistent, this also has the potential to be a pretty lethal line. The Sabres played well defensively in Saturday's win over the Sharks, but they've been brutal on that side of the ice (well, both sides) all season with 29 goals allowed. This is a good opportunity to see if this line is worth keeping together, and Kessel should certainly be in your Tuesday lineups.
