Capitals' Laich won't play Wednesday vs. Red Wings

Brooks Laich will not be in the lineup Wednesday when the Washington Capitals meet the Detroit Red Wings, head coach Barry Trotz told reporters.

Thought to be prepared for return from an upper-body injury after a three-game hiatus, Laich will indeed miss at least a fourth, and remain on injured reserve. 

Laich has an assist and a minus-1 rating through five games.
