NHL Game Summary - Colorado at Winnipeg

Winnipeg, MB (SportsNetwork.com) - Bryan Little was credited with the game- winning goal in overtime as the Winnipeg Jets topped the Colorado Avalanche 2-1 at MTS Centre.

Little was positioned in the low slot, where he deflected Andrew Ladd's backhander. The puck trickled through Colorado goaltender Semyon Varlamov and across the goal line with 25 seconds remaining.

Ladd scored on a redirection in the first period for his 100th goal with the Jets/Thrashers franchise. Ondrej Pavelec made 22 saves as Winnipeg finished its homestand with a 2-3-0 record.

"I liked the action we had around the net all night from all of our lines," Ladd said.

Varlamov stopped 26 shots for the Avalanche, who fell to 0-3 in overtime this season.

Colorado scored a power-play goal late in the first period, but couldn't convert with the man advantage late in regulation.

"I thought we had a lot of good chances in the first," Avalanche head coach Patrick Roy said.

After killing the penalty, Winnipeg failed to score on a power play that bled into overtime.

The Jets dropped to 1-for-28 on the power play this season after going 0-for-4 on Sunday.

Ladd was in front of Varlamov and deflected Zach Bogosian's right-point shot to open the scoring 6:25 into the game.
