The National Hockey League is monitoring a developing situation in Ottawa, where police are investigating multiple reported shootings at the National War Memorial, Parliament Hill, and in the downtown area.
The Senators are set to host the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday night at the Canadian Tire Centre in Kanata, Ont., located approximately 15 miles away from the center of the investigation.

The league further indicated they will follow the lead of local authorities.
The Senators took part in their regular morning skate Wednesday, while the Maple Leafs are in lock down at a hotel located near the National War Memorial and Parliament buildings, where the investigation is being conducted.
Some Maple Leafs players reported hearing gunfire from their hotel rooms.
Surreal scene outside of our hotel right now. Lot of very brave police officers we should all be very proud of.
