Hertl will play on the Sharks' third line with James Sheppard and Andrew Desjardins on Tuesday versus the Bruins, David Pollak of the San Jose Mercury News reports.

Analysis:

After the Sharks were shut out by the Rangers over the weekend, coach Todd McLellan has decided to tinker with all four of his lines in an attempt to spark some offense. With two points (both goals) and seven shots on goal over six games, Hertl hasn't done much to take advantage of his prime position on the top line with Joe Pavelski and Joe Thornton. Joining inferior offensive talents in Desjardins and Sheppard probably won't help Hertl rediscover the scoring touch he showed as a rookie.
