Sharks' Thornton records 1,200th career point vs. Devils

The San Jose Sharks defeated the New Jersey Devils Saturday night and that wasn't the only thing that had former captain Joe Thornton smiling.
With his goal and two assists, he tied Hall of Fame forward Dino Ciccarelli for 45th on the all-time points list with 1,200 career points.
If Thornton records another 70-plus point season, he'll inch closer to Al MacInnis (1,274).
