Cole was absent from Friday's practice due to an illness, but he confirmed his availability for Saturday's contest by participating in morning skate. Cole was relegated to checking-line duty in the first week of the season after showing up late to a practice, but he seems to be back in the good graces of coach Lindy Ruff. He's since moved back to the second line the last couple of games, but has no points to show for it thus far.
