Andrej Sekera: (Upper Body) Ruled Out Thursday
Sekera (upper body) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Rangers, Chip Alexander of the Raleigh News & Observer reports.
Analysis:
Two days after suffering a nasty collision with the end boards, Sekera was on the ice for morning skate, but was apparently too sore for the Hurricanes to risk playing him Thursday. On a positive note, Sekera appears to have escaped serious injury, save for a few bumps and bruises. After Thursday's match, the Hurricanes won't play again until Oct. 21, which could afford Sekera enough recovery time before returning to the lineup.
