Flyers' Lecavalier suffered apparent foot injury in loss to Canadiens

Eric Hartline / USA TODAY Sports

The Philadelphia Flyers experienced an embarrassing 4-3 shootout loss to the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday – a game they led 3-0 at one point – and may have lost Vincent Lecavalier to an injury in the process.

The veteran center was seen walking out of the arena sporting a walking boot on his left foot, according to Sam Carchidi of The Inquirer.

Lecavalier is believed to have been injured after being hit by a shot from teammate Mark Streit. He remained in the game and participated in the shootout.

There's no word yet on whether Lecavalier will miss any time due to the injury. In the first three games of the season, he recorded one goal, two assists and eight shots.
