Agent: Islanders' Leddy relieved after trade from Blackhawks
Defenseman Nick Leddy's agent says the former Chicago Blackhawks blueliner is relieved about no longer being in roster limbo after Saturday's trade to the New York Islanders.

The Blackhawks traded Leddy and goaltender Kent Simpson on Saturday to the Islanders in exchange for defensemen Ville Pokka and T.J. Brennan, and goaltender Anders Nilsson.
The move provides salary cap relief for the Blackhawks, who needed to make a move to get under the cap before the start of the season. By trading Leddy, the team rid itself of his $2.7-million cap hit.
Sheehy said Leddy is looking forward to joining a revamped Islanders club.
