Kari Lehtonen: Suffers Mild Concussion Monday

Lehtonen suffered a mild concussion during Monday's exhibition game and will be forced to stay off the ice for the next couple of days under NHL protocol, Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News reports.

Analysis:

Lehtonen will likely play a crucial part in the Stars' success this season, so they might ultimately play it safe and leave him off the ice even after he's cleared to play. Most importantly for the Stars, it doesn't appear that Lehtonen is in danger of missing the opener on Oct. 9.
