Clendening was one of six casualties as the Blackhawks trimmed their training camp roster to 30 players. The 21-year-old showcased his offensive talents with 12 goals and 59 points in 74 games at Rockford last season, but it will probably take an injury or two for him to get a lengthy look with the parent club in 2014-15.
