Avalanche sign McLeod to 3-year, $4M extension

The Colorado Avalanche signed Cody McLeod to a three-year, $4 million contract extension on Monday.
McLeod has 91 points in 467 career games. He is known for his toughness, recording 978 penalty minutes in seven seasons - all with Colorado - despite playing 10:37 per game.
The veteran winger provided five goals and eight assists in 71 games last season.
