Reinhart will play in his second preseason game against Toronto on Friday, reports John Vogl of The Buffalo News.

Analysis:

Reinhart will center the second line with Cody Hodgson on the left wing and veteran Brian Gionta on the right side. This is a new look for Reinhart, who opened camp with Marcus Foligno and Chris Stewart as his wingers, earning a temporary promotion to scoring line with Zemgus Girgensons and Mikhail Grigorenko out of the lineup. This added responsibility suggests that the Sabres are confident in Reinhart's abilities and giving him a very long look, since many observers believe the second overall pick from the 2014 draft is ready for the NHL. In all likelihood, the Sabres will keep Reinhart around for the start of the season and use as much time as possible to assess whether or not he can play a full 82-game season. Reinhart made his preseason debut last Sunday, playing 15:08, including 1:44 on the penalty kill, and won 44 percent of his draws.
