He and Tyler Bozak -- the team's other guy who's "out" with an undisclosed issue -- were out there together; both were in full equipment. His issue remains day-to-day, so don't start worrying yet. But we hope his time on the sidelines doesn't last too long for Clarkson -- he needs to get into a groove to start this season in order to erase memories of his start last year.
