Montreal Canadiens to retire Guy Lapointe's No. 5

The Montreal Canadiens have announced plans for their latest lengthy pre-game ceremony. Guy Lapointe will have his No. 5 jersey retired on Nov. 8.
He will be the 17th player enshrined via the rafter, joining the likes of Howie Morenz, Maurice Richard and Patrick Roy.
Lapointe, now a scout with the Minnesota Wild, scored 166 goals and 572 points in 777 games patrolling the Habs' blue line.
