Torres is still slated to undergo the procedure at some point in the next couple weeks, and figures to miss at least half of the 2014-15 campaign as a result. The checking-line enforcer battled multiple infections in the knee upon returning from September knee surgery late in 2013-14, limiting him to just five regular-season contests. The 33-year-old's historically shaky track record in the health department will make it difficult to count on him for much reliable production this season.
