Ekblad (concussion) has been working out and there are conflicting reports on his symptoms. Lance Hornby of the Toronto Sun says his symptom are "almost completely gone," but TSN.ca says "the concussion is perfectly, completely gone."

Analysis:

Ekblad absorbed a hard hit at Team Canada's U20 summer camp three weeks ago and wobbled off the ice. He was held out of action after that game. Ekblad said the symptoms subsided between four and six days ago, and that has allowed him to get back into a fitness regimen. He expects to make the Panthers' roster come September, so the team docs will be keeping a close eye on his recovery.
