And you thought NHL commissioner Gary Bettman couldn't be more icy.

The tightly-wound league boss let loose like only Bettman can Thursday, accepting the Ice Bucket Challenge in support of ALS research. 

And he didn't skimp out on the ice, nor disappoint with his nominations (or his shorts).

"It's full, and I think it's going to be cold." - never, ever change, Gary.
