The Detroit Red Wings and restricted free agent Tomas Tatar agreed to terms on a three-year contract on Monday.
The deal was announced on the team's official website. Financial terms were not disclosed, but Helene St. James reports the annual value is $2.75 million, which would put the entire deal around $8.25 million.
Tatar made an impression in his first full season with the Red Wings, recording 19 goals and 39 points in 73 games. The 23-year-old has 100 games of NHL experience.
Tatar was named most valuable player for helping to guide Detroit's AHL affiliate Grand Rapids Griffins to a Calder Cup championship in 2013.
