The Dallas Stars continued a busy offseason Monday, announcing the signing of goaltender Jussi Rynnas to a two-year contract.

As per Mike Heika of the Dallas News, the contract is a one-way deal worth $1.13-million.

The 27-year-old had a monster 2013-14 playing for Karpat of the Finnish Elite League. In 40 games, he posted a record of 28-5-7 with a 1.51 goals against average and a .939 save percentage, finishing second in the league with nine shutouts and third in wins.

Prior to his stint in Finland, Rynnas appeared in three NHL games with the Toronto Maple Leafs from 2011-13, failing to register a win while posting a .848 save percentage, albeit in the smallest of sample sizes.

The Stars already have Kari Lehtonen and Anders Lindback under contract, but Rynnas will have an opportunity to fight for the backup spot on the big club come training camp.
