After extending a qualifying offer to restricted free agent Vladimir Sobotka last week, the St. Louis Blues have reportedly filed for salary arbitration against the center.
The team can still continue to talk to Sobotka and negotiate a long-term deal with the 27-year-old.
Sobotka is coming off a three-year, $3.9-million contract and had a career year with the Blues last season, racking up 33 points.
The deadline to file for club-elected salary arbitration is Sunday at 5 p.m. ET.
