Report: Canadiens' Vanek, Murray, Parros won't return next season

Marc DesRosiers / USA TODAY Sports

Like every NHL club every offseason, the Montreal Canadiens will deal with some turnover this summer. The organization is already planning to move on without the services of three pending unrestricted free-agents, according to TVA's Renaud Lavoie:

That Vanek is going to test the open market on July 1 is the worst kept secret in hockey, but this report would imply that the Canadiens don't even intend on pitching the high-scoring Austrian forward on remaining in Montreal.

Doug Murray struggled mightily in his first season in Montreal, and was chased from the Canadiens' lineup after a series of defensive errors in Montreal's second-round series against the Boston Bruins.

Parros only played 22 games this past season in Montreal and never logged more than nine minutes of ice time in any of them.
