Senators fans hold poorly attended 'Spezza Rally' to support their captain

Charles LeClaire / USA TODAY Sports

Ottawa Senators captain Jason Spezza is reportedly without a future in Ottawa. Some Senators fans aren't happy about it, however, and wanted to make sure their voices were heard.

A rally in support of Spezza was launched by the Red Scarf Union and held Saturday, May 17th on Parliament Hill in Ottawa. A staggering 25 fans fled to the rally site and made their support for Spezza known.

The chant was to the tune of Christmas favorite "Winter Wonderland", and it appears they gave up on the chant turning to a more basic, "Spezza" cheer.

Of the 90 people who claimed they would take part in the rally, an estimated 25 showed up. All 25 of whom be devastated if Spezza does not in fact return to Ottawa next season.
