Bruins' Adam McQuaid undergoes ankle surgery, expected to miss 8 weeks

A season marred by injury appears to be over for rugged Boston Bruins defenseman Adam McQuaid, who underwent successful arthroscopic surgery to repair his injured right ankle, according to the team's official website. 

The surgery, performed May 1, requires eight weeks of recovery time.
