Capitals' Paul Carey: Will be in lineup Saturday

Carey will make an appearance in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinals Saturday, CSN's JJ Regan reports.

Analysis:

The 28-year-old pivot has only played in three games since the calendar flipped to 2017, and he'll be tagging into a playoff match for the first time since he was a member of the Avalanche in 2013-14. Washington is hoping that his speed and versatility jump-starts a fourth line that has been lackluster since the playoffs began. Brett Connolly reportedly takes a seat in this one.
