Penguins' Ian Cole: Putting up numbers

Cole tallied an assist, three hits and a game-high eight blocked shots in Thursday's win over Washington.

Analysis:

His nifty stretch pass to Scott Wilson led to Nick Bonino's game-winner with less than 10 minutes remaining in regulation. Despite skating only 17:01, the lowest amount of any Pittsburgh defender, he made the most of his limited time. Cole collected three assists in Round 1 and figures to continue chipping in without Kris Letang (neck) available in the postseason.
