Devils' Blake Coleman: Headed back to minors

Coleman was sent to AHL Albany on Monday.

Analysis:

While Coleman didn't do much from a scoring perspective, he provided the club with a physical presence. Over 23 games, the 25-year-old forward delivered 51 hits and his play resulted in 27 penalty minutes. He collected two points on 27 shots on goal over that span, also contributing by blocking 15 shots. The Devils continue to lack consistent scoring, but Coleman doesn't figure to fill that void in the future.
