Canucks' Richard Bachman: Reassigned to minors

Bachman was sent down to AHL Utica on Monday.

Analysis:

With Ryan Miller an unrestricted free agent this offseason, Bachman may have a shot at competing for a regular role between the pipes for Vancouver next year. In his five appearances this season, the 29-year-old went 2-3-0 with a 2.64 GAA, on par with his minor-league numbers -- 12-11-3 with a 2.60 GAA. The netminder's responsibilities next season are likely tied to what happens in regard to Miller.
