Canadiens' Carey Price: Doesn't travel to Detroit

Price (rest) won't be around for the regular-season finale against Detroit on Saturday since he didn't travel with the team, John Lu of TSN Montreal reports.

Analysis:

The Habs want Price's focus squarely on the Stanley Cup Playoffs, and Canadiens GM Marc Bergevin is wisely resting the star goalie in what will be a rather meaningless game for the Canadiens. Charlie Lindgren reportedly will start in the final contest, which is still significant for the Red Wings as it signifies the very last game at storied Joe Louis Arena.
