Sharks' Logan Couture: Upgraded to day-to-day

Couture (mouth) will participate in Thursday's game-day skate before his status against the Oilers is determined.

Analysis:

Couture has missed the Sharks' past five contests, but fans and fantasy owners alike will be thrilled to see him taking steps in the right direction. The center will almost certainly resume a top-six role once given the all clear. With a pair of division matchups remaining and plenty still on the line, the 28-year-old's ability to find the back of the net (25 goals this year) should improve San Jose's chances of improving its playoff positioning.
