Bruins' Tuukka Rask: Tabbed to start Thursday
Rask will be in the blue paint for Thursday's contest with Dallas, Steve Conroy of the Boston Herald reports.
Analysis:
After a poor performance against the Lightning on March 23, missing Saturday's win against the Islanders with a mysterious lower-body injury, and being lambasted by Bruins fans and members of the Boston media alike, Rask responded by turning in a stellar performance in a 4-1 win over Nashville on Tuesday. Following that game, head coach Bruce Cassidy complimented Rask's improved compete level and desire to find pucks -- characteristics that every coach and teammate looks for in a goaltender. A Vezina Trophy winner in 2014, Rask has immense talent and the ability to get hot down the stretch as Boston looks to qualify for the postseason.
